Corporate Accountant


As Accountant within the consolidation team, you will be responsible for aspects of the monthly/quarterly close and North America consolidation function. This will include interacting with all North America entities, including manufacturing locations, to obtain standardized inputs to report consolidated NA financial results according to US GAAP. You will report into the Financial Controller and be responsible preparing journal entries, roll-forwards, and analytical reviews of special accounts. You will also review activity and balances of key accounts (Intangible Assets, Equity, Intercompany Loans, PP&E, etc.). As this position is within the consolidation team you will assist in maintenance and administration of the company’s consolidation and reporting system, QAD.


  • Serve a significant role in the monthly close process within Bimeda’s consolidation and reporting system - QAD. Coordinate close activities with the North America team and document the close process to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Implement close process improvements for timeliness of close and accuracy of results
  • Maintain positive and strong relationships with NA business and functional counterparts
  • Analysis and reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual roll forwards to summarize key account activity
  • Internal controls
  • Document a wide array of process and control narratives
  • Monitor NA compliance with other key controls in finance as they are developed
  • Reconciling bank activity for various bank accounts (currently up to 5) on daily basis
  • Serve as “back-up” for other Accounting/Finance areas (e.g. if another team member is out on PTO), including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Application, etc.
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Supervisor


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Finance
  • Experience of financial accounting / consolidations within a consumer goods manufacturing enterprise
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with an ERP system (QAD) or Consolidation system a plus
  • Ability to learn various software such as QAD and other reporting tools
  • US GAAP experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, balance priorities and make self-directed decisions
  • Adaptable, team player with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with all functional areas
  • Ability to function in a fast paced, process-based, customer-focused environment
  • Strong teamwork skills promoting a positive team-based environment
  • Must be able to effectively interact with all levels within and outside of the organization in a professional manner
